Saltine crackers

Ingredients: - 500 g flour - 300 g cheese (you can use any cheese you like, if you have children and want to do some for them then you can use half fresh cow cheese and half salty sheep cheese or just fresh cow cheese and some salt) - 1 egg - 7 g baking powder - seasonings for garnish: basil, thyme, peperoncino (for children you can use basil, flaxseed, sesame) - 1 egg for spreadind on the dough (a little secret for making them golden-brown)
Mix the cheese with the egg until it turns into a smooth paste. Then, add slowly the flower and the baking powder and mix until icorporated. And voila, the dough is ready! Spread the dough in a thick sheet (I prefer it at about 0,5 cm thick), then cut into thin strips with a width of 1-2 cm. Grease the top of each strip with egg and garnish by choice with dried basil, thyme, sesame (I used basil and peperoncino for me and basil for my son). Put the strips on some baking paper placed before in a flat baking tary and leave it in the oven for 20 minutes at 180°. The saltine crackers can be served warm or cold.

Ingredinte:
- 500 g faina
- 300 g branza telemea (poti folosi orice tip de branza doresti, daca ai copii si vrei sa le faci si lor, poti pune jumatate branza de vaci si jumatate branza sarata, sau doar branza de vaci)
- 1 ou
- 7 g praf de copt
- condimente pentru ornat: busuioc, cimbru, peperoncino (pentru copii busuioc, seminte in, susan)
- 1 ou pentru uns
Amestecati branza cu oul pana se transforma intro pasta, apoi se adauga treptat faina si praful de copt pana se incorporeaza. Si voila, aluatul este gata!
Intindeti aluatul sub forma unei foi groase (eu prefer o grosime de 0,5 cm) si se tai fasii subtiri cu latimea de 1-2 cm. Se ung fasiile deasupra cu ou si se presareaza, la alegere, cu busuioc uscat, cimbru, susan (eu am folosit busuioc si peperoncino pentru mine si doar busuioc pentru baietelul meu).
Puneti fasiile pe o hartie de copt asezata in prealabil pe o tava plata si lasati-o la cuptor pentru 20 minute la180°.
Saratelele pot fi servite calde sau reci.
